Joyce was born in Gramercy, LA, June 8, 1928. She attended LSU, met and married Charlie in 1948. They lived in Baton Rouge LA until they built a house in Denham Springs LA in 1998. They were married for 52 years. She was talented in so many ways. She was an artist, seamstress, musician, poet, teacher and author. But there was one thing she didn’t like to do and that was to cook, even though she made the best roast, rice & gravy with peas you will ever want to eat!
The family would like to give a special thanks and appreciation for the excellent care and love our mother received from Compassus Hospice Care in Baton Rouge, LA and Maison de Fleur Assisted Living in Denham Springs, LA.
