John Edward Bergeron, Sr., age 82, also known as “BJ” of Central passed away peacefully Monday, November 20, 2023. He worked hard as a Plumber until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many people. Nothing gave him more joy than spending time with his grandbabies and great grandbabies. He also loved hunting, fishing and playing his oldies on the jukebox. John is survived by his children, Pam Fruge of Lake Charles, Toni Trahan of Central and John, Jr. and wife Tammy of Central, 6 grandkids, Morgan, Blayne, Brittany, Forrest, Tiffany and Brandon, 10 great grandkids, Riften, Naiya, Rorik, Thorin, Raiden, Tegan, Bowen, Skarlett, Tyson and Arken, and 1 brother, Forrest Bergeron, Jr. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Sandra Jean Parker Bergeron, his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother. The pallbearers will be his grandsons Brandon Trahan, Blayne Bergeron, Forrest Bergeron, Tyler Bennett, Cody Stafford and Cody Pourcio. Visitation will be at Zoar Baptist Church, 11848 Hooper Rd. Baton Rouge, La. On Monday, November 27, 2023, at 9am-11am with services to follow immediately conducted by Pastor Glen Miers. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
