Charles Douglas Cowart was born on August 27, 1942, and died on October 16, 2023, at his residence in Greenwell Springs, LA after a long battle with cancer. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Judy Anne Gayle Deville, his three sons and two daughters-in-law: William Brett (Suzonne), Brian Douglas (Kandyce), and Corey Brandon and his brother and sister-in-law Greg (Cindy). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Drake (Katelyn), Hannah (Landon), Danae (Cade), and Hayden, and his great-grandson: Tucker Wayne.
Charles is preceded in Death by his parents Ellis and Mildred Cowart, his sister and brother-in-law: Shirley and Ray Klump, and his nephew Carter Klump.
He retired after 32 years of dedicated service at Exxon Chemical in Baton Rouge.
Charles was a devout member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Parish.
