Betty Jean Tarver Brogan

Betty was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved all people. In her younger days, she loved swimming, having picnics, sewing, gardening, and going on field trips with her grandchildren. She also loved the holidays and making cookies with the girls. All her grandkids say she was “The Best”!

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Brogan, of 69 years; her son, Thomas Brogan Jr.; daughters, Elizabeth “Diane” Boone, Gladys “Dell” Boone, and Gwendolyn Stelly and husband Matt; sister, Mildred Ford of Loranger, La and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty is proceeded in death by her parents, Haney and Adell Tarver of Magnolia, MS; brothers, John, Henry, Wayne, and Haney Tarver; sisters, Louise Tarver, Helen Brogan, and Linda Ricouard; son, Robert Brogan, and two granddaughters, Alicia Boone and Tabitha Boone.

Pallbearers will be Gage Boyd, Robert Brogan Jr, Sidney Brogan Jr., Terry Lambert, Samuel Maniscalco, Kenny Milton, Danny Rodriguez, and Scott Brogan.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Central Funeral Home in Central, La from 11:00 am until services at 12:00pm, affiliated by Pastor Paul Toups. Burial will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, La.
