Rose Polistina, of Lake Grove, New York, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the age of 91. Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Donna Sartory (Brian), Tony Polistina (Cynthia), Steven Polistina (Barbara), and Lisa Polistina. Rose was the cherished grandmother of six grandchildren and the proud great-grandmother of three great-grandchildren.
Rose had a lifelong passion for Scrabble and crossword puzzles, finding joy in the challenges and the satisfaction they brought. Her vibrant spirit and warmth touched everyone around her, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, located at 2326 Middle Country Road, Centereach, NY 11720. A committal and interment will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933.
