Robert Curt Jungblut, the only son of Carl and Anna Jungblut, is survived by his loving daughter Sandee Jungblut and her husband Ralph; Christine Wells and her husband Bert III; Julie Ramos and her husband Iván. He was the grandfather of Rocco, Bert IV, Loren, Stefanie, Evelyn, and Iván, and the great grandfather to Bert V, Loretta, Lucas, Roman, Ross Gonzalo, and Layla. Bob was Superintendent of Parks for the New York Zoological Society (Bronx Zoo) for over 25 years and also helped run his parent’s flower shop in Centereach, NY. In younger years, he enjoyed traveling, boating, and tending to his vegetable and flower gardens. He loved socializing with friends, spending time at the beach and going to local fairs. Bob was known as a terrific dancer and enjoyed his disco days. He was also very artistic, loved to paint, make wind spinners, and his dozens of handcrafted wood carvings were inspired by all the things he loved about life. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 AM to 1 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY. Closing prayer is 1 PM at the funeral home followed by internment at Washington Memorial Park, 855 Canal Road, Mount Sinai, NY
