Vincent Nevins Jr., 71, long time resident of Chester died suddenly at home on April 18, 2016. Vincent was born in Abington, PA, son of the late Vincent Sr. and Edna (Lyttle) Nevins and was raised in Rhode Island. He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline D. (Malz) Nevins, whom he married in 1971. He is survived by his only loving daughter Gretchen Nevins of Chester. He graduated from Wentworth Institute in 1965 with an Associate's Degree in Engineering and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1966-1972. At the age of sixteen he was the youngest solo pilot in the State of Rhode Island. He retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft after 45 years of service and went on to hold the ranks of Captain and Lieutenant in the Chester Hose Company of Chester, CT. Graveside services will be held at The Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI on Monday, April 25th at 12:30pm.
