With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Ryan Clark, who left us too soon on February 15th, 2025, at the age of 20. He brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with his kind heart, radiant smile, and boundless curiosity. Though his time with us was brief, the depth of love and happiness he shared will forever remain in our hearts. Ryan will always be remembered for the love and affection he showed family, friends, and strangers. Ryan was his brother, Tylers’ biggest fan and fiercest defender, their relationship as much best friends as siblings. The obvious joy shown by the family’s dogs each time Ryan returned home was a testament to his kind soul. The quiet strength and courage he displayed in fighting depression was mostly unseen. Sadly, his pain became overwhelming. He is survived by his father, Scott Clark, mother, Jill Clark, and his brother, Tyler Clark, as well as a large extended family of Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, whose lives were greatly enriched by Ryan's presence. His departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared. Ryan was an alumnus of LOL High School, located in Old Lyme, CT. He was a shining example of how to think of others, a value that was central to his character. His school years were marked by kindness, and empathy directed at those around him. Ryan was an avid sports fan and loved all Boston teams, especially the Red Sox. He was born just 2 weeks before the Sox won their first World Series in 86 years. As a newborn he was watching in his proud father’s arms for the entire playoff run up to the final out of the series. Ryan enjoyed talking and arguing about sports, his seemingly endless recall of stats often overwhelmed those talking with him. Though he enjoyed winning an argument, he was never arrogant or mean spirited in doing so. Ryan Clark, a beacon of kindness and love, will forever reside in our hearts. His legacy, exemplified by his curiosity and compassion, will continue to inspire and guide us. As we grapple with the loss of his physical presence, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on through the memories and the love he instilled in us.
In remembrance of Ryan, instead of flowers, those wishing to honor Ryan’s memory may contribute to Brian Dagle Foundation (brianshealinghearts.org) 461 Main St, Niantic Ct 06357.
