February 14, 1952 - June 23, 2021
Robert “Bob” Peterson left this world in Pittsfield Massachusetts and left in the same way he lived his life; stubborn, peaceful and grateful for all those who loved him.
Bob was born in Fargo, North Dakota and made sure you knew that. Growing up strong and proud, he found his way into the US Navy where he served from 1972-1976.
Bob graduated from the University of New Haven in 1983 and began a career in sales. No other man would attempt to sell snow to an eskimo; but Bob had the knack and the charisma to do it. His career took off and took him to many places that only added fuel to his social abilities.
Bob would make sure anyone he met was included, loved, happy and most importantly, having a great time. His eclectic taste in music and food gave him the avenue to connect with anyone from any walk of life. His zest for all things in life made anyone feel at ease... and exhausted because keeping up with Bob was always a challenge. Nothing could stop the energy and mischief he could conjure up.
Bob will be missed by his children, his siblings, and his family. Bob will be forever remembered by his extensive community of friends who became family; especially those from Soldier On. A celebration of Bob’s life will occur at the Zion Lutheran Church of Pittsfield, in Pittsfield Massachusetts on Wednesday June 30th at 11:30 am. Bob’s ashes will be interred with military honors at a later date.
