& Rehabilitation Center in Moodus. Marian was the beloved wife of the late Ernest R. Beemer, Jr. who predeceased her in 2004 after 49 years of marriage and the mother of the late Kenneth Beemer. Marian was born in Deep River on July 2, 1935 the daughter of Arthur and Effie (Dickinson) Berdensey.
Marian was a resident of Deep River and had resided on Spring Street for over 80 years. She had worked for the former A&P Store, and Finest Store which is now Adams Hometown Market located on Main Street in Deep River. She loved to camp, especially in Vermont, cook, crochet, and go antiquing.
Marian is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lynn Beemer and grandson Tyler, of Moodus, Nephew, Lawrence Berdensey of Gales Ferry, nephew, Michael Berdensey, of Chester, niece, Charlotte B. Smith, of Smithfield, VA, niece, Kathy Caso, of Cromwell, her 8 great-nieces, 4 great nephews, 2 great-great nieces, 3 great-great nephews , and 1 great-great-great niece, and 1 great-great-great nephew, and many beloved cousins, and many friends. Marian was also predeceased by her nephew, Art Berdensey and her three siblings, Leslie, Harold and Richard. The family would like to extend their gratitude and care to all the medical professionals and staff during her stay at Chestelm Health & Rehabilitation.
Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM with her funeral service following in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held in the Fountain Hill Cemetery, High Street in Deep River immediately following the service.
