Joseph Anthony Rowe III passed away unexpectedly at Fairview Nursing Home in Groton, CT on March 15, 2024. Joseph was 67 years old and suffering from progressive Parkinsons Disease while trying to recover from COVID and a second total hip replacement. Joseph was born in Paterson, NJ and was the second of four children from the late Joseph Rowe Jr and Jeannine Roy Rowe from Atlantis, FL. Joseph leaves behind a wife of 39 years Noreen Brennan-Rowe and two Rhodesian Ridgebacks currently residing in Essex, CT. Joseph’ s older brother Rick Rowe resides in North Port, FL, his younger sister Michelle Alvare is from Havertown, PA. The youngest sibling Lucy Rowe passed away shortly after birth in 1958. Joseph is also survived by 2 nieces Brianne Stevens Norristown, PA and Cailynn Stevens Downingtown, PA and 4 nephews Kyle Rowe from Hackettstown, NJ, Jason Rowe of Hampton, NJ, James Stevens of Milford, NJ and Francis Alvare residing in Milton, FL.
Joseph held a business administration degree from Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ and an executive MBA from University of New Haven in West Haven, CT. Joseph was an entrepreneur he started 3 businesses one of which he was president and owner for 23 years selling industrial maintenance equipment (Lincoln Service & Equipment). The Company was originally located in North Haven, CT and expanded to a larger facility in Durham, CT which eventually expanded to a branch in Central New Jersey. In 2012, Joseph’s business was sold to Bortek Industries in Mechanicsburg, PA. Joseph stayed working as a salesman doing what he loved until 2017 when he needed to retire do to his Parkinsons Disease.
Joseph will be deeply missed by his wife, dogs, friends, family members and former business associates and employees. Joseph was a well-respected member of the community and received an award in 2019 for his outstanding service and knowledge in the sweeper and scrubber industry.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 11:30AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 14 Prospect Street in Essex. Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, North Main Street in Essex.
