Chelsea was born on May 19, 1992, in New Hartford, New York. After graduating from Westbrook High School in Westbrook, Connecticut, Chelsea participated in a supported employment environment with Sharp Training. She especially enjoyed working at TJ Maxx with her favorite job coach, Ashley, and other friends.
Chelsea was a Disney superfan and avid Disney pin collector. Her favorite Disney princesses were Cinderella, Belle, and Ariel, and as anyone who knew Chelsea understood, she definitely did NOT like Snow White.
Chelsea enjoyed playing board games with her brother and sister, Grant and Molly. Grant and Chelsea shared great moments together, including Grant teaching his sis how to master the slip and slide at his 8th grade graduation party. Chelsea very much loved her sister Molly, who cared for her during her illness and was one of her favorite people.
Those who met Chelsea liked her immediately and appreciated her feisty but kind nature.
Chelsea is survived by her mother Karen and stepdad Bill, her sister Molly, and her brother Grant; her aunts Rachel, Angela, Nancy, Michelle, Denise, and her uncle Carl; Cayla, Miranda, and several other cousins; loving family members Michael, Becky and Chevy.
Chelsea’s family wants to express their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Yale New Haven Hospital. Karen will never forget the love and compassion they showed for Chelsea.
A celebration of Chelsea’s life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Robinson Wright & Weymer Funeral Home in Centerbrook, Connecticut. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. The service will be conducted by the Reverend Joy Perkett of the First Baptist Church of Essex at 10:30 am, followed by the burial at Cypress Cemetery in Westbrook, Connecticut.
