Timothy Joesph Oldani, was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois on February 21, 1959. He was a traveler, and had many friends all over the country. He started creating landmarks when he began working on the Pacific Crest Trail. Throughout his life he continued to build buildings, stadiums, and hotels. He worked with crews to build the Denver International Airport, Denver Performing Arts center, and many of the downtown hotels and condos. Our city, and many others, are filled with beauty because of his hard work! When he met his loving wife Amanda (Weerman) Oldani, he was building bridges. As he was beginning to court his lovely bride-to-be, he realized how love builds bridges. This became the theme for the rest of his journey in life! There are many people that felt connected because of his love.
Later in life he began working on the railroad, with the passion of learning something new, and the wonderful people he worked alongside, it was something he did not want to give up. Tim was committed to many things in life such as helping others to recover from alcoholism, the needs of the homeless, women's empowerment and safety, and helping people find a personal relationship with God. Anyone who ever met Tim felt as if they were the most important person in his life. He wanted EVERYBODY to know what it was like to be loved.
Tim was the first born of four children to Nanette (Manfred) Oldani, and her husband Kenneth Joseph Oldani. A Korean War veteran, Kenneth passed away February 18, 2006. Together Nanette and Ken raised Tim, his sister Mary Alyce (Oldani) Taylor, who has two daughters Christina Taylor and Abigail (Taylor) Garland; Tim's brother Kevin Oldani, who has two sons, Branden Oldani, and Tony Oldani; Tim's baby sister, Barbara (Oldani) Petracek who has two daughters Chiara Petreack and Vivienne Petracek. Tim was great uncle to Branden's daughter, Callie.
Tim was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in June 2015. He courageously and with great dignity, underwent many treatments for cancer. In the final stage of his life he was surrounded by many people who loved and admired him dearly. Through God's grace, he remained helpful, kind, and loving until the day he passed away, March 2, 2016 in his home.
