Steven Joseph Custer was born in Fort Belvoir VA to John H. Custer and Anne Wedjen on November 15, 1969. He is survived by his siblings Patricia Booth, (Gene, Tiffany, Wesley and Tiana Freman), (Eli Jenkins), John Michael Custer, and Karen Howard, (Bill and Alyssa Howard, Amber McClain, Caitlin Morris (Robert) and many many friends.
Steven proudly served as a dedicated employee in the grocery industry for over 30 years. He was known to greet all who he encountered with a smile and a genuine "hello". He also loved children and served as a crossing guard for 8 years with Cheyenne Mountain School District 12.
Steven greatly enjoyed his social time with his friends and family. He always made it a point to call those he cared about, especially on their birthdays. He knew several languages, enjoyed traveling and different cultures and collected stamps and pen pals from all around the world.
Steven was a true light in this world and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held on Saturday April 9, 2022 at 1:00pm at First United Methodist Church 420 N. Nevada Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80905.
