Shirley Marie Rose (nee Englund) peacefully passed away on July 5th, 2023, at 12:15am, in Denver, Colorado, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Born on October 17th, 1939, in Kerrman, California, Shirley lived a life filled with kindness, compassion, and service to her family.
Shirley was a devoted wife, having shared many years of love and companionship with her beloved husband, George Robert Rose. Married on December 10th, 1960, their marriage was a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment for 45 years. Even after his passing in 2005, Shirley remained steadfast in her devotion to George.
A nurturing and loving mother, Shirley was blessed with three daughters: Darla, Victoria, and Kristin. She poured her heart and soul into raising them, imparting valuable lessons and instilling in them the importance of family bonds. Shirley's love extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of her three grandchildren: Tiffany, Tony, and Alex. She delighted in their accomplishments and celebrated their joys.
In addition to being a grandmother, Shirley embraced the role of a great-grandmother with joy and tenderness. She was lucky enough to be present in the lives of three great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Jax, and Ryan. Their laughter and innocent smiles brought immense joy to her heart and carried her spirits through the last several years of her life.
Shirley will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, George Robert Rose, at Eternal Hill Memorial Gardens in Snellville, Georgia. Their final resting place is a testament to the eternal bond they shared, symbolizing their love that transcends time. Shirley requested the family not hold a public service. Instead her daughters and grandchildren will be present to privately bring Shirley's story to a close.
Shirley had only one request of her loved ones at this time: We should not mourn her loss, but instead celebrate the beautiful memories she has left behind. Her warm smile, gentle words, and unwavering love will forever be etched in our hearts.
Shirley's absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. May her soul rest in eternal peace, knowing that she made a profound impact on the lives she touched.
