Dearly beloved mother of Tyler (Courtney) and Thomas; cherished sister of Sharon Swiderski and Suzanne Gruhl; dear aunt of Jonathan (Lindsay), Jason (Emilie), Caitie (Brian), AJ (Annie), Matthew (Maura), Charlie (Caitie) Cavell; and friend to many who will miss her greatly. Sheila was proceeded in death by her husband, James; father and mother, John and Grace Swiderski; and sister, Mary Sandra Swiderski.
Sheila was born in Monroe, MI on April 1, 1953. She graduated from St. Mary Academy in Monroe in 1971 and Michigan State University in 1975. She moved to Colorado in 1976. Sheila was an avid gardener, a supporter and cheerleader for all those she loved, and a proud MSU Spartan for life. More than anything, Sheila loved to be with her family.
As Sheila was a lover of all pets, in lieu of flowers, the family would invite you to make a donation in Sheila’s name to an animal charity in your area.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, from 3 pm to 5 pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 12, at 11 am, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S. Quebec St, Centennial, CO. Private burial will take place immediately thereafter at Olinger Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery. The family invites you to celebrate Sheila at a reception immediately following funeral services as Big Bills NY Pizza, 8243 S. Holly St, Centennial, CO 80122.
