Sharon passed peacefully from this life on the morning of December 11 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded, supported, and loved by her family and caregivers during the last days of her life.
She was born November 3, 1942, in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to Hubert and Jane Crouch. She graduated from Tullahoma High School and attended the University of Chattanooga. She married George May on November 6, 1988, in Atlanta, Georgia, at Peachtree Road Lutheran Church. She was a devoted wife, a homemaker, and a wonderful mother to her son John. She was also an executive assistant at Combustion Engineering before she retired, moving from Atlanta to her beloved Tullahoma with her husband George. Sharon lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures of chatting with friends, traveling, baking, needlepoint, and spending time with her beloved dogs. Sharon could light up any room with her radiant smile and big, beautiful eyes.
She is survived by her son John, her brother Hubert, niece Adair, nephew Bert, grandchildren Josh, Amanda, and Alex, and countless others whose Sharon’s zest for life and infectious personality touched.
We will celebrate Sharon’s life on December 19 at 2:00 PM at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary and Cemetery. She will be interred on December 22 at 11:00 AM at Rosehill Cemetery in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
The family of Sharon wishes to extend our sincerest gratitude to Littleton Adventist Hospital and Assured Assisted Living, her Nurse Case Manager Kim, and the caregivers who helped her so much over the years.
