Ronald Lee Bush passed peacefully on December 6, 2021, at Cherrelynn Healthcare Center at the age of 84. He battled COPD for years, which was caused by working around uranium in his younger years. He was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma in September.
Ron was born in Steubenville, OH as the second child to Robert and Helen Bush. He had an older sister Barbara and younger twin brothers Earl and Carl Bush. As a child his family moved a lot and settled in Grand Junction, Colorado the longest. He graduated from Grand Junction High School and later married Bethann Scott of Grand Junction and had four daughters (a set of twins and two other daughters). Later he divorced. He is currently married to his third wife Janis Bush.
Ron’s hobbies included building and flying model airplanes as a youth. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Elks for 50 years and a 33rd degree Mason and devoted himself to the Mason organization. He had a beautiful tenor voice and sang many solos for church and the Mason’s.
He is survived by his wife Janis Bush, daughters Terri Hanko of Greely, Colorado, Paula (John) Garb of Centennial, Colorado, and Monica Bush in Bazine, Kansas, sister Barbara Johnson, Steamboat, Colorado, brother Carl (Mary Ida) Bush, Cedar City, Utah. He had 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Helen Bush, his brother Earl Bush and his daughter Rona Fischer of Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
There are no services planned and the family will have a private service later. In lieu of flowers, please donate in his name to the American Cancer Society.
