Raymond William Shaffer, Jr., age 72, died peacefully at his home in Littleton, CO on Feb. 6, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Becky, and three children: Monique (James) Williams, of Ft. Collins, CO, Glenn (Emily) Shaffer, of Searcy, AR, and Ryan Shaffer, of Littleton, CO; by one brother, Richard Shaffer, and one half-brother, Eddie Parker, both of Port Jervis, NY; by one half-sister, Lillian Gunderman, and one step-sister, Sharon Lane, both also of Port Jervis, NY; by five grandchildren: Chelsea, Nicholas, Aaron, Aliyah, Ava, Phoebe and Lily; and by two great grandchildren, Ian and Anna; plus many nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him dearly. Ray was an aerospace business manager with a distinguished career at Lockheed Martin from which he retired in 2011 after 33 years. He had a life-long love of camping, travel, backpacking and hiking both mountains and canyons, and had a keen interest in technology and computers. He was a Navy Veteran, serving with honor in Viet Nam, and was a faithful member of Plum Creek Chapel in Sedalia, CO. Ray was a devoted husband, loving father, and a very loyal friend. His memorial service is Saturday, Feb. 13, at 10:00 AM at Chapel Hill Mortuary at 6601 S. Colorado Blvd. in Littleton. Inurnment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
