He was born a big brother to his twin Nicholas Brown. How proud he was to be a big brother. Their bond was remarkable and Nicholas loved spending free time with
Matthew. They would have pretend sleepovers in his room, watch movies together, while breaking all the curfew rules and enjoyed living it up together.
Matthew lived a special life. Even with the challenges he faced, his life was filled with love, laughter and surrounded by his family and friends whom adored him.
Matthew had so many special qualities. He brought a smile to anyone who came in contact with him. His smile could brighten the darkest of any days.
His character allowed for him to be intrigued with many items whom most of us would not truly find interesting. He had a love of his remote control helicopters,
a fascination with buses, his mighty yellow Kirby vacumn cleaner and he adored Spongebob Squarepants.
His latest fascination was with his very own Cuckcoo Clock. He would sit for hours and make that bird Cuckcoo like no other Cuckcoo before.
He loved to be out and was so adventurous. He enjoyed the Blue Parrot in the Pet store at the mall and loved to feed him peanuts.
His most recent outing at the mall left his Mom in the dust as he raced around like a Nascar champion in his new power chair.
Matthew was loved by so many in his short life. He had so many friends at school, and he looked forward to the bus arriving every morning to pick him up and bring
him to his friends and teachers. He had the best in care. His caregivers meant the world to him. He worked so hard everytime, at all his appointments.
He strived to be stronger and learn everything new brought to him, he couldn't get enough of the world around him, not knowing how much he meant the world to us.
Matthew also has an older brother Christopher Brown. Christopher was so impacted by Matthew that he too, only needed to see that smile and it would bring him comfort
and happiness every day.
He also has his Aunt Amy "MI MI" Uncle George and family. They enjoyed his phone coversations. Matthew would rush to the phone when he knew who was on it and couldn't
wait to share his stories with them.
He also meant the world to his Grandma Dale and Rick. When she entered the room he would smile and say, "Grandma, come and see my Cuckoo Clock!" or, whatever his
special item of the month was at the time! She would only have to see that smile on his face and grandma's heart would melt.
Just last summer the family visited San Diego, California. Matthew was able to make everlasting memeories on the Harbor cruise, visiting the sea lions and a
one on one ping pong match with Gramps. I am positive that Grandma Kathy and Papa Ralph will treasure this time spent with him, just as he did.
Matthew had a love for his mother Mary Beth that was undenying. Mary Beth is the strongest of strong and has the biggest heart. Her love for her husband, children,
family and friends, makes anyone who meets her, want to become a better person. She was his cargiver, his lifeline and together conquered every obstacle that came
upon them.
Matthew had a special bond with his "Daddy" Bob. Their love for music brought joy, dancing and laughter to their life. Even in his last hours, Mom and Dad were singing
his favorite tunes,"Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, the Barney song, "I Love You, You Love Me, and of course, "The Spongebob Song, "Who lives in a Pineapple Under the
Sea?"
Well Matthew, whether you're in a pineapple under the sea or an angel in the heavens above, you will forever be in our hearts. Rest in Peace our beautiful boy!
Bob and Mary Beth want to express how much they appreciate all the prayers and support from everyone. They want to thank everyone for coming, and please understand
how hard this time has been on them. Sincerely and with all of their hearts!
