She was born on October 20, 1922 in Hunter, Kansas, to Leo Irvin and Lillian Marguerite (Wagner) Barnhill.
Margaret was an avid reader who also loved to grow violets, knit and crochet. Fishing is something else she enjoyed and caught many fish on trips to Green Mountain Reservoir and 11 Mile Reservoir.
She spent her earlier days taking care of and riding horses she and dad raised.
She worked at the Gates Rubber Company for 33 years. She met her husband Lacey Odell Taylor there, and they married on June 6, 1958.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, her son Lacey, Jr., and her husband Lacey. She is survived by her daughters Sherrill Kitto and Dolores (Gary) Barncord; her grandchildren Kenneta Kraemer, Inde (Chris) Wissinger, Lory Mercer, Lacey Taylor III, Eric Taylor, Wendy (Rodd) Merchant, Charles Kitto, Jr., (Allison), Jennifer Kitto, Jeremy (Karma) Kitto, Greg (Karen) Kitto, Joe (Lisa) Kitto, Becky (Ben) Pardini, and 7 grandchildren as well as numerous other family and friends.
Friends and family may visit Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd in Centennial, Colorado, on Thursday, August 7th at 9:00 a.m. A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow immediately in the adjacent cemetery.
