Marcia Jean Rains

Predeceased by her mother Opal McDowall (Grahem) & Stepfather Dave McDowall.

Marcia was survived by her (loving) husband (of 59 years), Bob Rains & Lovingly remembered by her, Son (Ken Rains), daughters (Karen Flaugher & Kristen Schwartz), grandchildren (Andrew, Austin, Cody, Faye, Nic, Marianne, Dale Anthony, Nichole & Aspen) as well as her brother Michael Grahem.

Marcia was a loving wife of 59 years to Bob, and they had 3 loving children twins Ken & Karen and the youngest Kristen. She was a stay-at-home mom for most of the time caring for them as well as a foster mom to several children, Donnie being the longest. Having twins, she became involved extensively with the Double Delights Organization of which she was the treasure as well as many other positions. When she did decide to work, she decided to become a league coordinator, which was perfect for her since she herself was an avid bowler. This became a special pastime for the entire family to do together. As the kids grew older her & Bob became loving grandparents of 9 grandchildren. Marcia also was a strong influence in all their lives as well. Marcia also enjoyed later in life quilting along with her mother Opal and daughter Kristen. She was able to make special quilts for all her grandchildren for graduation. This is going to be very special to each of them as it will allow them to wrap up in it and remember her fondly. Marcia’s mom Opal eventually later in life moved next door to her and Bob which allowed her and Kristen to take care of her in her last days. During that time and after they were also blessed with 11 great grandchildren. Marcia has touched all of our lives in one way or another, which has made us all better for that.

Funeral Service will be held at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery (6601 South Colorado Boulevard Centennial CO 80121) on Friday May 19, 2023, at 12:00 pm with Kristin Cauddle officiating. A reception to take place at 1:30 pm located at Romano’s Italian Restaurant located at 5666 S Windemere Littleton CO 80120 (http://www.romanospizzeria.com/map.htm).
