Judy was a kind, generous, and gentle soul. She worked hard throughout her life as a "numbers gal" in various accounting, bookkeeping and payroll positions. She moved on to dedicate herself to The Rocky Mountain News/Denver Post as a district manager. After retiring from the News, she worked for Verizon. Finally, she decided it was time to relax and retire; however that was short lived because she needed to keep busy (as if watching over her grandkids wasn't enough!) She became a in-home care-giver for the sick and elderly. She absolutely adored her clients, not only because they kept her on her toes, but because she had a particular skillset to provide for others. That was Judy; a person whose heart was too big for this world. Judy, Mom, Granny, will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Judy is survived by daughter, Christina (Scott) Keitlen, grandchildren, Chase, Cay (Hallie), Chase (Bear) and Ian. Sister, Rosie (Dennis) Jarboe, as well as many cousins (Denver and Oregon), extended family, amazing friends and of course, the beloved cat, Jax.
Judy was preceded in death by her first daughter Mindy Kurtz, mother, Mary Ritter, and father Roy Ritter, as well as many beloved aunts, cousins and friends.
Memorial will be held on November 10, 2023 at 10AM in the Mountain View Room at Olinger Chapel Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome in honor of her to:
