Judy was a furiously independent woman who enjoyed gardening, flowers, hiking, and spending time with her beloved family and friends. She was a highly skilled seamstress who made beautiful garments and treasures. Her positive nature was contagious, her smile infectious. She always found something to smile about. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
She was born in Michigan and raised in Kentucky by her loving father Orville and wonderfully charismatic mother Charlotte. She was predeceased by her brother Shirley. We are sure they are together having a good laugh and enjoying each other.
Judy and Ben, moved to Colorado in 1986 to raise their three children, a place that fostered her love for the outdoors. She daily admired the majestic mountains, clear blue skies and awe-inspiring trees.
‘“E” whole heartedly loved her family. Mom was kind, supportive, nurturing, empathic and fiercely loyal. The last several years she proudly spent numerous days on the lacrosse field, soccer pitch, or basketball court cheering on her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Ben Warren Jr. (Tonya), Chellee Cassels (Simon), and Kerri Durkin (Josh); her grandchildren, Max, Aiden, Isabella, Beau, Harry, Cy, Lorne, and Wren; and her faithful four-legged friend, Momo. All who aren’t quite sure how they will find their way without her. She was our guiding light.
As a further testament to her kind and loving nature she was blessed with wonderful friends both near and far, many of them lifelong. She treasured her hikes, lunches, phone calls and visits with them.
Services for Judy will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2pm at Littleton Church of Christ. Her body was cremated and her ashes will be scattered along her favorite Corwina Park hiking trail through the forests, stream and wildflower meadows.
We invite you to enjoy a walk in the sunshine in her loving memory, she would like that.
