He was born to parents, Jack and Ann Winterbottom, on November 13, 1966, in Denver, Colorado. John graduated from Cherry Creek High School and received a degree in Graphic Communication/Illustration from Washington University. He worked as a graphic/production artist supervisor for over 20 years making sports novelties.
He married Carolyn, in 2003, who survives him. John is also survived by his children, Taylor, Colin, and Jordan (Jordy), his mother Ann, his sister Tona and her husband Peter, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. John was predeceased by his father John (Jack) F. Winterbottom.
John was known for his love of the Simpsons, comic books, Disney and Marvel movies, and Denver ComicCon which he shared with his family. He also loved watching his children participate in sports and was never far away from his camera preserving a memory.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021.
