I was so sorry to hear of John’s passing. He was such an incredible athlete. It was fun to grow up with him and play on some football , basketball and baseball teams with him, some even coached by his Dad. I remember going over to the Schlessman YMCA with him when we were around 13-14 yrs. old and taking on adults in basketball games which we always won. I also remember being out at night with John at about that same age with some girls and Carle Stearns driving behind the YMCA  with his headlights on catching us where we weren’t supposed to be. How he found us I have no idea. He will be missed. 

We were so young and so much in love when this was taken!   I will always hold a special place in my heart for you John.  Trish Sweeney Berry
