"Bill" as he liked to be called, to reduce the confusion between his father and later son, also both named John William, was born and raised in Denver, CO. He was a younger brother to his only sibling and sister Mary Lou. He grew up playing sports including basketball and baseball and graduated from East High School. He was a New York Yankee fan.
Bill served proudly in the Army during the Korean War and remained stateside in Texas assigned to the Engineering Corps. After his service in the Army he followed his father into the family business which was trash removal. His father gave him half of the business which Bill grew over the years to support his family.
Bill is a father of three children which he raised alone with the help of his parents, and is a grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid hunter and fisherman making many trips to the Miracle Mile in Wyoming. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, coin collecting and was an avid sportsfan.
Preceded in death by his parents, John W. Burbach and Barbara Burbach (Krening). Survived by his sister Mary Lou Carnes, his children Gerald R. Burbach, John W. Burbach III, and Sheryl L. Burbach, his grandchildren Gregory W. Montanez, Nicole M. Martinez, Alexandra L. Martinez, Aaron S. Martinez, Brian W. Burbach, and Bradley R. Burbach and great grandchild Damien B. Lindsey.
