Joan Miriam Crowe

Joan M. Crowe, age 98, of Greenwood Village, CO, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016. She was born on October 6, 1917 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Rose (Traxler) and Theodore Wrighthouse. Joan spent 50 years of marriage with her husband, Robert Crowe; he preceded her in death in 1987.

Joan was a member of the Decatur, IL Bowling Hall of Fame and was also a member of the American Business Women’s Association, having been named “Woman of The Year” in the late 1980’s.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Crowe; granddaughter, Elise Gerhard and grandson, Zachary Crowe. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Crowe, and one son, Ronald Crowe.

A Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm, Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 13, 2016 in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL.
