Dear Gina,  I just discovered Jim's Obituary online.  We were friends aboard the USS Washburn.  You prepared dinner for some of us young officers not long after you were married.  Jim was a good and entertaining friend, and I will not forget him.  Lt Lynn Harvey

I am deeply saddened to hear of Uncle Jim's passing. Uncle Jim was a fine man and a significant influence for good in others' lives. I am so lucky he was a part of my life. His good nature, kindness and humor will never be forgotten.

Gina and the DeRose family, we are deeply saddened to hear the news of Jims passing.  I know the last few years have been difficult for all of you because of Jim's illness.  We wanted to let all of you know that Jim was a special neighbor, friend and person while both of our families lived and grew up across the street from each other.  He was always, and I mean always there when you needed any household help or personal matters taken care of.  We had some great times by having both of our families share many holiday dinners and celebrations together.
We are so sorry that we are unable attend the funeral services.
In closing, speaking of all of our family, Jim you will truly be missed by all of us, R.I.P.
