I will always be thankful that Master Chung was part of our lives.  I saw him to be caring, concerned, generous, and a warm, wonderful teacher. Master Chung, there are no ways to express how thankful that I am to have met you. There are also no ways for me to express my deepest condolences to your family. It's only been about two years since you transformed my lowly, immature self into someone I can actually be proud to be. I was always proud to be considered a student in your class, and overjoyed by how much you have guided my life into a better path. You were my hero, and you will never be forgotten.

Chung -- I will always remember your dedication. Practicing Kendo with you was a wonderful experience every time. My heart is at a loss, for you, and your family. I want them to remember how wonderful you were. You helped a lot of people in their pursuits. I hope you are at rest, I will see you again one day.

Our deepest, heartfelt sympathies are with you, Mrs. Chung, your wonderful sons and all of Master Chung's family and friends. Master Chung was a very special person in our sons' lives (Aidan and Tristen)and in our family. Aidan does not remember a time without Master Chung teaching him Taekwondo and most importantly the life lessons he incorporated into the way he taught and the way he lived his life. From the early days at the dojang on 6th Ave., to the summer day camps and field trips, the belt ceremonies in the park, the Taekwondo family bbq's  and the "new" dojang on Gibraltar, ours sons and we have have such fond memories that will last a lifetime. Aidan is so glad to have spent last Tueday night in class while he has been devasted losing such an incredible role model, teacher and friend.  We will always remember and are eternally grateful for having known such a man and having him influences our sons. Our thoughts, prayers and sympathy are with you, and may the love that he embodied be with you always.

"Dear Master Chung, it was not that long ago, on a warm December Saturday morning in 2008 when my brother and I brought our sons, Alex, Daniel, and Ryan, to your school to meet with you for the first time.  From that day, and beginning with the boys' first Taekwondo class in January 2009, they had been under your teaching and direction.  Ever since, we had unequivocal and complete confidence in leaving our sons to learn from you physically, mentally, educationally, and attitudinally.  Fast-forward to that fateful day last week when we heard the incomprehensible news that you had left us suddenly and unexpectedly.  It seemed rather unfair that, while heaven may have gained a great soul, we have lost a dear friend, and our sons a loving teacher.  Our kids certainly thought so as they were inconsolable upon hearing the devastating news.  Words cannot describe the sadness that we felt, and I am not ashamed to say that I am getting teary eyes as I type these words.  Master Chung, just as you had touched the lives of all of your students, friends, and families, we are honored to have met and known you, and our sons lucky to have studied and matured from your guidance. We feel very blessed to have had the opportunity for our son Josh to be a student of Master Chung's. It was immediately apparent what a kind, caring man he was and that he wanted his students to succeed.
