Born February 22, 1920 to Harold E. “Powerful” Peterson Sr. and Amy (Aldridge) Peterson in Englewood, Colorado. Died in Littleton, Colorado December 16, 2012 after 92 years and 10 months of accomplishment, wit, service and generally making everyone he came in contact with happier. He was a stand out athlete at Denver University and with the original AAU Denver Nuggets. Successful business owner of Peterson Electric and Peterson Greenhouses.
Devoted father of surviving son, David J. Peterson ( Joyce A. Hagerty) and daughter Nancy Claire Niedens (George); Grandfather “Papa Great” to seven grand children, nineteen great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter.
Public and private leader and servant. He served on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Lutheran High School Association and as president of the Colorado Flower Growers association and many other organizations.
HEP was absolutely the very best at making everyone have fun and enjoy being in his company.
