Frank D. Morgan

Franklin Dlone Morgan, known as Frank, was born September 20, 1933 to Snead Wesley Morgan and Laura May Bell Morgan in New Orleans, Louisiana. He passed into Glory on January 20, 2024, at the age of 90. His main place of residence was Littleton, Colorado, but he enjoyed spending time at their place on Sardis Lake, Mississippi.

He was married to his wife, Deloris, almost 56 years. He had many roles in his life as son, brother, soldier, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, and even great-great-grandfather. Within his family, there are eleven children—Sam (Joan), Lynn Earl, John (Denise), Kathy, Sherry, DeAnna (Bob), Ed (Lisa), Robin (Curtis), Margaret (Mitchell), Paula (Paul), Shane (Milissa), 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. Along with his immediate family, he had many nieces and nephews he adored. He was very proud of how large the family has grown.

His most valued treasure of time was spending it with the kids and grandkids and their families. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, and watching the old western movies on TV. He served in the Air Force in the mid-1950’s. He was very patriotic and very proud that he, 6 brothers, one son, one son-in-law and several nephews served in our country’s military. Most of his work life was construction related. His last job was leading the grounds maintenance for the Denver airport keeping the gate entrances and runways cleared of snow and swept of debris—probably his most favorite where he worked with and for some wonderful people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 10 siblings, eldest son, Sam, one son-in-law, Paul, and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, 10 children, the multiple generations of grand-children and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Frank will be held Monday, January 29, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121, followed by a committal service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
