Evelyn was born on November 17, 1934 in Vernon, Colorado to Julius and Frances (Poppen) Bucholz. Evelyn graduated from Englewood High School with the Class of 1952. She married the sweetheart of her life, Earl Leigh Manning, on December 20, 1953 in Englewood, Colorado and the couple later welcomed three children into the marriage.
While spending her years living throughout the Denver area, Evelyn worked in government, auditing, secretarial work, real estate sales and brokering. She loved volunteering in the community, golfing, traveling, potluck bridge parties, and sports. Evelyn valued her Christian faith and was a dedicated member of the Centennial Covenant Church. She enjoyed leading “Devotions with Ev” at her assisted living facility. She was a truly beloved and influential woman who impacted many lives. She will be greatly missed. Three words describe her life and purpose: Faith, Family, and Friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her children, Steven (Kathy) Manning, Juli (Mark) Ploss, and Susan Jill (Mark) Hanson; her grandchildren, Amy Manning, Ryan (Jen) Manning, Matthew (Angel) Manning, Skylar Hanson, and Brianna Hanson; her great-grandchildren, Blake and Austyn Manning; her nieces and nephews, Jay (LaDonna) Jurgensen, Rich Jurgensen, Lauren Jurgensen, Barb Adrian, Ken (Cathy) Bollers, Barb (Dean) Shoffner, Bette (Don) Albrecht, and Cindy, Laurie, Brad, and Brent Bucholz; her cousin, Wayne (Sue) Bucholz; two sister-in-laws, Lorraine Jurgensen and Sherry Bucholz; and many other family members and friends.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Manning (1999); her grandson, Daniel “DJ” Noyes (2018); her siblings, Gladys Bucholz (1927), Raymond Bucholz (1929), Irene (Bucholz) Bollers (1993) Harlan Bucholz (2011);her mother-in law, Ethel Manning (1966); and her brothers and sisters in-law, Winifred Sparks, Bob (Darlene) Manning, David (Gail) Manning, nephews and nieces, Joe Bollers, Janene Jurgensen, and Jim Anderson.

A Celebration of Evelyn's Life will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:00 am at Centennial Covenant Church, 401 W Mineral Ave, Littleton, Colorado 80120. The family will greet guests at a reception immediately following the service.
Evelyn’s children would like to extend gratitude to their extended family and friends, Centennial Covenant Church, Kaiser Permanente, Apria, Pegasus/Belleview Suites (Brookdale Assisted Living) and Denver Hospice for all of the love, care, prayers, and support.
