Liz, 42, passed away June 5, 2012, surrounded by her family after a 2 year battle with breast cancer. Her salty Puerto-Rican attitude will be sorely missed. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, June 9th at Two O’clock in the afternoon at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd in Centennial, CO. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
She will be missed by her husband of 12 years, Steve; her children McKenzie and McKay; her mother, Ermilinda Ruiz; brother, Rafael Ruiz and his wife Gigi; and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Caring House in her memory. Caring House provides comfortable, supportive, and affordable housing to Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center’s adult outpatients and their caregivers.
