Doug was one of five brothers of John and Edna Stanfield. He grew up in the city of Sheridan, Colorado, and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1970. He worked for Chicken Unlimited, Curtis Mathes Television, and as a School Bus Driver. He was very conscientious of his bus driving responsibility, and was well respected by his co-workers and supervisors.
Doug was active in competitive softball leagues for many years.
Doug was on the Town Council in Sheridan and played a prominent role in getting the streets paved.
Doug was a very giving person who would help anyone in need.
Doug was a member of Amazing Grace Church, and active in the Men’s Fellowship.
His home-made breakfast burritos will be greatly missed at the Saturday Men’s Fellowship, as well as the many times he supplied breakfast burritos for his brother’s hunting and fishing trips.
Doug is survived by three brothers; Wesley of Prescott Arizona, Gordon of Parker Colorado, and Stewart of Denver Colorado.
Doug will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.
