Diana was born to parents Edward and Erma Wegelin on December 21, 1943 in Norfolk, Virginia. She is the eldest of 2 daughters and grew up in California. She has a son and daughter from her first marriage and 2 sons from her second marriage. She spent most of her young years raising her children and working. On December 31, 1983 she married Robert Gibson. They spent most of their time traveling the United States in their motor home, which led to them retiring in Grand Lake, Colorado in 1988. They truly loved Colorado and living near the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Diana is survived by her son, Wayne Williams and daughter in law Debbie Williams, her daughter Shelly Miller and son in law Scott Miller, her son Tracy Williams, her son Marvin Williams and daughter in law Marie Williams, her sister Jackie Hefner and five grandchildren; Jason Williams, Brandy Lyman, William Miller, Grant Miller and Damian Williams. Diana also had 4 great grandchildren; Jason Williams, Tristen Lyman, Callum Lyman and Gwendolen Williams. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gibson, and her parents; Edward and Erma Wegelin.
A service for Diana and Robert Gibson will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:00am at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 8011. They both chose to be cremated and buried together. Following this service, the same day, some of Diana and Robert’s cremated remains will be scattered in the Rocky Mountain National park near Grand Lake.
