A graduate of Smoky Hill High School, Derrick lived in various states including Montana, Idaho, Washington, Pennsylvania, and Canada. He had several interests professionally, including garment stenciling and printing, solar roofing replacement research, and he even attended massage school. Most recently, Derrick worked as a Roofing and Restoration Project Manager.
Derrick was an adventurous soul who enjoyed traveling, target practice, and roller hockey. He was a loving and compassionate man who cared deeply for his friends and family. A gentle warrior, Derrick could connect with anyone, especially children and the elderly.
Derrick touched the lives of many and he will be deeply missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Joseph and Petra Lindsey; his grandparents, Charles and Maria Faust; his older brother, Jermaine (Maria) Lindsey; his aunt, Stephanie (Kevin) Olson; cousins, Jessy Olson, Lindsey Olson, and Alyx (Eric) Acord; second cousin, Sophie Acord; and his friends, Matt Cronk, Alex Tafoya, Allen Walters, Keith Haggerty, Matt Yarbrough, Keith, JR, Roman, Erin, Michael, Brian, Sharon, Darion, Courtney, Morgan, Tiffany, Nicole, Maritza, and many more.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:00 am at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. The family will greet guests at a reception immediately following.
