I worked with Dennis at FAL as Senior Agents.  We went separate ways after our Beloved Frontier closed doors.  Kept in contact and met up at our Reunions each year.
In 2007 found out we were both working at DIA…Dennis at the new Frontier and I was at Continental Aircargo.  We would get off at 0200, meet a couple more friends at the Truck Stop for breakfast.

50 plus years of friendship with Mr. Miller, I'll miss his smile, his tenacity and the gold framed Ray-Bans that he always wore.... We had some good times brother, and I know I will forever sense your presence...

I had the pleasure of working with Dennis while in the Denver A-Tower with Frontier Airlines from 2009-2011.  My first impression of Dennis was that he was a kind and upbeat person.  Over the next 2 ½ years all he did was reinforce that impression.  I had many laughs with Dennis, and many conversations with him about all sorts of things both personal and aviation based.  
 
I can also say that Dennis had a special power over Frontier’s Operation that nobody else did.  We could have clear skies, with no inclement weather in the forecast and Dennis had the ability to change that with one action.  Whenever Dennis went down to the Concourse to purchase his dinner something would happen to our smooth day with uncanny frequency.  As soon as Dennis would return to his Zone and try to eat his dinner the once favorable weather and/or smooth operational conditions would immediately take a turn for the worst.  As a result it would then get extremely busy.  So busy in fact that 5 hours later Dennis would have zero time to eat his meal and be left with nothing more than a full container of ice-cold food.  This happened so many times and we would laugh about it his terrible luck.

I left Frontier Airlines in 2011 and cannot recall if I have even spoken to Dennis since then.  I certainly hope he was having an enjoyable retirement for as long as possible prior to his untimely passing.  At the end of the day, Dennis will be remembered by so many as a friendly, kind, caring and upbeat person.  That’s the sign of a life well lived.  It was a pleasure knowing him.

Dennis and my brother were life long friends since high school. Dennis also became a life long friend for our whole family. My parents really liked Dennis because we was so polite and they knew he would be a good influence on my brother Charlie. They were right. We all loved Dennis and it was always a fun time when he would come by for dinner or just to hang out. I was younger than he and Charlie but he always let me hang around even when Charlie didn’t want me to. He was someone you wanted to meet if you didn’t know him. I’m one who was lucky enough to have that chance. 

I first met DK when I was transferred to Seattle (SEATAC) airport in 1981. He was one of the first to welcome me into the station. We spent lots of time hanging out and had many laughs. After I left SEA we lost contact until our paths crossed again with the New Frontier.  I was promoted to Denver Customer Service Director and he was working Operations in the Tower. Sadly we didn’t get to spend a lot of time together after that but kept in touch with email and text. Our most recent text was about him taking a spring trip this year and we would catch up.  I text him a couple messages a few weeks ago and didn’t hear from him. Then a friend of his Charlie text me the sad news of his passing. May you Rest In Peace DK your certainly deserve it. May God receive you with his open arms. God speed my friend you will be sorely missed 😢❤️🙏😢
