David Dave or DK James Kolstad

David James Kolstad passed away on February 24, 2016 at the age of 66. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on March 13 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Lone Tree Arts Center, 10075 Commons Street in Lone Tree. The formal service will be from 2:15 to 3:00. Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, Centennial, Colorado.

David was born February 25, 1949 to Phyllis Peel and Leonard Kolstad in Staten Island, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Kolstad. He is survived by his wife Linda; parents-in-law John and Carolyn Sheehan; daughters Katie (Jimmy) Perez and Annie Kolstad; grandchildren Manny and Sophie Perez; siblings Len (Karen) Kolstad, April (Bob) Campbell, and Roy Kolstad; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Dave's honor to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Funds-Colorado Programs at 2255 S. Oneida Street, Denver, CO 80224. Any donations will be used in the Colorado market to support patients, families and caregivers.

And finally, we will have a beautiful tribute to Dave that day. Please bring a favorite memory or photo to the service. Thank you all for your care, concern and love during this time. It has been a blessing to us.
