He was the beloved husband of Vicky Henderson for 30 years.
He was born in Oxford, Mississippi, November 29, 1955, and was raised by his parents, Bobby and Mary Henderson.
He also leaves behind his sister, Janet Peterson, and husband, Pete, and nieces, Laura, Megan, Rebecca and great-niece Andrea, all of Fayetteville, NC and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jon and Carolyn Weimer of Denver.
David graduated from Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville, NC in 1973 and then attended Fayetteville Community College. He had worked at the City of Englewood for 38 years and was the Director of Public Works.
He was greatly respected and well-liked by everyone who met him. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, golfing, bowling, pool all of which he excelled in. David enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was very dedicated to his family and job.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121 immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Reception in the Summit Room.
