David Noxon Corbin was a retired professional engineer. He was born on March 18, 1926, in Boulder, Colorado. Following graduation from Boulder High School and military service, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado in 1948. He was a Registered Professional Engineer.
He retired in 1993 from Martin Marietta, now Lockheed Martin, where he held various telecommunication engineering and management positions. Prior to that, he also service in these positions with other companies, including American Satellite Co., Johns Manville, TCI, and General Electric Corporation.
He served in the United States Air Force during World War II and achieved the grade of Captain in the USAF Reserve.
He was a member of St. Michael and All Angels' Church, a Fellow in the Radio Club of America, Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, member of the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club, the Boulder Lodge #45 A.F. & A.M., Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and Littleton Elks #1650.
He is survived by his son, Daniel, daughters Nancy, Patricia, and Kristine, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for David will be held at 11:30am on Friday, January 3, 2020 at St. Michael and All Angels' Church, 1400 S University Blvd, Denver, CO 80210. Following the funeral service there will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Green Mountain Cemetery, 290 20th Street, Boulder, CO 80302.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Michael and All Angels' Church.
