Crystal Lynn Lestition-Brown died suddenly 7/7/23 leaving behind her husband of 26 years, Robert “Rob “ Brown and their three sons, Cody (22), Ethan (17) and Zane (8). She is also survived by her parents, Jane and Michael Lestition of Littleton, sister Nicole (Mike) of Evergreen, and their children, Norah, Sarah & Ava, plus many cousins, aunts and uncles, friends, and countless teens and young adults who considered Crystal to be their 2nd mom.
Crystal’s pride and joy was each of her three sons. She loved her role of mother, and had a devotion to her family and close friends that exceeded the average person. She was an accomplished cook and managed her household with true grace, strength and class. Crystal was a major support for all of her loved ones and gave of herself freely.
Crystal was born on April 26, 1976 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. As a child, she was a fantastic student and a constant blessing to her teachers and coaches. She was a member of the masonic youth organization, the International Order of The Rainbow for Girls, serving as Worthy Advisor twice and a recipient of the Grand Cross of Color and was the Master of Ceremonies in 1994. She was an accomplished dancer and dance teacher. She enjoyed cross country running and was a member of the National Honor Society. Crystal graduated with Honors from Chatfield Senior High School in Littleton in 1994.
Crystal married Rob in 1997 and spent 15 years in Montgomery, Texas. After an 8-year career as a flight attendant, Crystal decided to stay home to raise her children and care for her in-laws. After moving back to Colorado in 2011, Crystal and Rob settled in Evergreen. While continuing to raise her three sons, Crystal obtained her real estate license and then graduated Summa cum laude from Arapahoe Community College in 2021 with a degree in Interior Design with emphasis in kitchen and bath. Crystal found fulfillment in gardening, learning new things, traveling, trying new recipes & restaurants and cheering on her sons in all of their endeavors.
She will be most remembered for her incredibly kind and loving Spirit that welcomed every person that crossed her path. Soft spoken and tenderhearted in nature, she made everyone feel loved and valued in personal ways. Crystal cared deeply for people, sought hope and positivity and was deeply devoted to her loved ones. She gave the best advice and made it a point to know people well.
We thank God that we will see her again, but until then we will honor her while doing one of her favorite things together - watching Wheel of Fortune. This world is a better place because of her, and we thank God that we got to share in her life.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, July 21st at 11am at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, 6653 West Chatfield Ave, Littleton, 80123 with a luncheon to follow. Crystal will be interred at Mount Lindo Cemetery in Morrison at a private family service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to Smile Train in Crystal’s memory (donate.smiletrain.org).
