Connie was born in Wichita, Kansas to Alfred and Evelyn Anderson. As an only-child, Connie’s wide variety of friends and colleagues were her family. She leaves a legacy of a life-long commitment to human rights for all, expressed through many years of political organization and action. As a vivacious teacher for 32 years in Aurora Public Schools, Connie touched the lives of over 3,000 students while continuing her life-long educational experiences through traveling and meeting new friends. Connie had a commitment to animals, large and small, and always lived with the lucky dogs and cats that lovingly shared her home and companionship. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 5th at 10 a.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 South Colorado Blvd., followed by a reception.
