Chris was very athletic, as a child, participating in many sports, but his first love was soccer. He competed at a competitive level for teams in the Littleton/Aurora areas (Littleton Bombers, Aurora Sting, Columbine) and played for Littleton High School. Chris was an avid World Cup fan and watched it religiously.
Chris was a Denver Bronco Fan from the time he was little, he knew every player, every stat, and every coach. He remembered each game, play by play and could talk to anyone about them. His second favorite team was the San Francisco 49ers and followed them closely.
Chris enjoyed everything outdoors, he got together with his friends for volleyball, swimming, BBQ’s etc. He cherished all the time spent with them. He had a caring attitude for everyone he met and was always willing to give a helping hand if needed.
He loved his work in construction and learned many aspects of the field. He was highly praised for his work ethics and the quality of his work and many of his customers became friends.
Chris is survived by his mother, Karen Shepherd and his father, Glenn Thornburg, along with numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. All who will miss him dearly every day.
