Paul - I remember when we talked about our kids on the business trips to Scottsdale. I just saw this. I am so very sorry.  I can’t imagine how broken your and Joanne’s hearts were and still remain. My deepest condolences. Our children are everything to us as parents.

I finally was able to view the video.  I am moved and grateful I was touched so briefly by his spirit, his gift of storytelling, and his displays of dignity and respect.  I look forward to greeting him again in Heaven.

All of us who have ever loved someone are crying for your family. Your Wonderful Pastor Eckelkamp tried to give you comfort where there is none, but only time can bring that. I wish that you could remember only the good times you had with Chris. Peace will come some day.

Dear Joanne and Paul
My heart goes out to you both.  I know what you are feeling right now.  We lost Kallan  - our son last year -at almost this same time  - Kallan and Chris were classmates through  middle school and high school. 
I will tell you now - that the hurt will never go away - a year later I still find myself crying - laughing - feeling his presence - and wanting to reach out and touch him.  Jean Stithem

I remember Chris as someone who always challenged me to think longer and harder about things, from the mundane to the great questions of life.  Making him laugh and seeing those dimples always made me feel like I was witnessing something very special.  He will be dearly missed.
