Christina was born on the day Man landed on the Moon; July 20th 1969 in Lynchburg, VA. Always a bright enthusiastic student, she flew through the prestigious University of Virginia, gaining a Bachelor of Arts. Continuing her thirst for knowledge, she gained her Masters in Business Administration from Lynchburg College.
She began her career in Social Services, becoming a Director of Resident Life and Services. While in Lynchburg, she made the transition into the insurance industry. She was a rising star within this organization, and during this time, she moved from Lynchburg to Lincoln NE, then Denver, CO.
Her yearning for the care of people led her to return back into healthcare. After gaining her CO Nursing Home Administrator’s Licence, she began to build a solid reputation for stellar resident care. At the time of her death, she was on the cusp of beginning a new chapter in her career.
While she succeeded brilliantly in her career, her highest accomplishment was bringing her daughter, Courtney, into the world. She was such a proud mother, supporting her daughter in every aspect of her life. She was highly protective, yet allowing her the freedom to spread her wings. Christina finally accomplished a long term dream this February by taking Courtney back to Disneyland, a trip that had meant so much to her 15 years ago.
She fell madly in love and married Stuart in September 2003. She was a wonderful wife, so supportive in everything.
Always so proud of her home, she took great pleasure in decorating for the current season of the year. Christmas was always a very special time for her; the amount of enjoyment she gained decorating her four Christmas trees was a delight to behold. There would always be country music playing, nothing brought her greater contentment than switching on her favorite tune and singing away.
Christina’s appetite for life and caring spirit will remain with us as her proudest accomplishment.
