Ron was born February 11, 1948 to Elizabeth and Charles Williamson in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1952 He moved to Denver, CO. He graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1966. He went on to study History at Kansas Wesleyan University. In 1994 Ron received his Master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado. Ron taught social studies for Cherry Creek School District from 1971 to 2002. On August 9, 1980 he married Nancy Askins in Denver, Colorado.
He is survived by his wife Nancy; son Tom Williamson of Aurora, CO daughter Anne Vierra of Chico, CA, sister Susan Kreutzer of Avon, CT, brothers David Williamson of Boulder, CO, and James Williamson of Denver, CO, and grandchildren Parker, Ian and Eleanor.
As an avid baseball fan, Ron was a member of the Colorado Vintage Baseball Association. His hobbies included Rockies games, wine tasting, traveling, camping in their RV, and keeping in touch with EVERYONE he met.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at 10 AM on Friday March 24, 2023 at Olinger Mortuary located at 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, Colorado. Open House to follow.
