Charles Walter Beamer III, 76, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away suddenly on May 9, 2020 in Plano, Texas due to cardiac complications. He was born to Mildred Janet Rusnell and Charles Walter Beamer Jr. on December 23, 1943 in Akron, OH. Charlie graduated from Manchester High School in 1961 and received his BSBA and MSBA in statistics from the University of Denver in 1974 and 1977.
He married the love of his life, Sharon Kaye Kiplinger, on June 25, 1966 in Manchester, Ohio. In 1984, after 18 years of marriage, and three children, his beloved wife Sharon passed away suddenly. As a single father Charlie coached soccer teams and enjoyed camping and fishing with his children every chance they had. He was a lighthearted, loving father who would do anything for his family.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, Charlie was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1968. It was in the Air Force that he learned and later taught computer programming, a skill that would help define his career as a software developer for 40 years. In retirement he became an active member of the International Order of Rocky Mountain Goats.
Charlie is survived by daughter Katherine Beamer, son C. Walter Beamer IV and his wife Jennifer and their children Charles W. Beamer V and Varenna, daughter Nicole Kirby and her husband Terry, and their children, Sean, and Mikayla.
Charlie was predeceased by his wife Sharon, father Charles, mother Mildred, sister Linda Farmer, and stepfather David L. Kidd.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 19, from 5 – 7pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121.
A virtual memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 2pm and can be attended virtually:
