Mom,
I love you and miss you so much!  It feels like yesterday that you left this earth. A day doesn't pass where I wish I could tell you how my day went or get your advice or just watch a movie and be lazy just one more time. I love you mom!! Xoxo I know heaven has gained an amazing strong beautiful angel.

I just found out that Barb passed away. Though it's been years since I have seen her, I clearly recall the light she brought into the world. She always made me feel valued by being truly present in the moment. I am blessed to have known her. My heart goes out to her family and all those who are grieving her passing.

There are no words to ever express our deep sadness to learn of Barbara's passing.  We are so grateful for her intervention in our lives. Oh what fun times we had in Chapel Hill, Asheville and Wolf Laurel. She was an exceptional wife, exceptional  mother and dear friend. I am so sorry to learn that Barbara has passed.  She was always a thoughtful and kind person.  I can only imagine how sad it is for Tom to lose his bride of so many years.  My deepest sympathy to Tom and Francis and Hope.   

Barbara was one of these classiest and kindest mother's at FRCS. She was always there to assist or offer her thoughts. Barbara could always be counted on in our Lueck world. Her smile, the sparkles in those blue eyes, her help and encouragement were always gratefully accepted. We rest that Barbara is in the Kingdom with her Lord and Savior. Doing His work for sure! Barbara left quite the legacy!💕

Barbara and I were coffee buddies at the old Primerica office on South Wadsworth. (Barbara embodied everything that company stands for.) The two of us would drink coffee when it was 98 degrees out and no one else would. Not wanting to do so just for herself, Barbara’s eyes would light up with that Barbara sparkle when I would suggest we make a second or third pot, and that I would help her drink it.  When I asked our church to pray for the family, I described Barbara as a loving and tenacious Christian woman who gave of herself above and beyond to everyone who was fortunate enough to cross her path. Though she had no business obligation or financial interest in our success, Barbara poured hour upon hour of one-on-one time into us. Tom, Frances, Hope—we loved Barbara and we love you.

I worked with Barbara in Denver when we both were consultants for a restaurant company.  I enjoyed working with Barbara so much.  She was the ultimate professional.  Barbara found out that I was moving to Chapel Hill in the 80’s and helped me find a job with BCBSNC.    I will always be grateful to her for the support at work and being a great friend.  RIP Barbara.  


We are so saddened to hear about Barb’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tom & the girls. 
We have so many fond memories of Barb & Tom from their years in Chapel Hill.

You have taught me how to be strong and independent. I am so proud of the legacy you have left. You touched so many lives in so many ways. I love you mom! xoxo
