Hasten, Arthur DewayneBorn on February 24, 1962. When old enough to go to school he good pretty much perfect grades. He was about 16 when he lost his dad. He always said that him and his dad didn't have much of a relationship but said he loved his dad. They had a fight before he passed away. He always felt bad about it when he talked about it. He kept going and soon got through high school being a football player. After high school he furthered his education and met Maria. They met one day on a rainy day and Dewayne asked her if she wanted a ride. After that they got along well and Dewayne had the courage of asking her out. Soon after that they had gotten married. That day was on April 28, 1984. They were married at the ages of 22. Years later Dewayne's mom died. She died on November 25, 1988. She was told to be a wonderful person. Years later at the age of 31 they adopted their son Christian. He was Born On November 27, 1993. He loved him so much and he was his world. Dewayne thought the most of Christian. He loved him more than life itself. The moment they met they bonded. They had a very strong relationship. Dewayne made so many accomplishments during his time on this earth. Staying here with his family was always what he wanted. He wanted the best for his family. He wanted to see Christian grow to be a man and be there for Maria. He had health issues for a while but things started to look better when he started having heart problems. Everything went downhill from there. He struggled to be there for his family. He took the riskier surgery thinking of his family. He got through the surgery fine. But after the surgery at the age of 47, he passed on March 4, 2009. Beloved husband of Maria and devoted father to Christian. He was loved by his friends and family. He had a big heart. He welcomed everyone into his heart that wanted in. He was wise and just a great person. He will be missed. Dewayne will hopfully be watching over all of his friends and family. Viewing will be Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 4-7. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm both at Olinger Chapel HIll Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd in Littleton. The Arthur Dewayne Hasten Trust Fund has been set up at First Bank for his son Christian.
